FireStarter is een studio, producent en distributeur actief in de speelfilm en gaming industrie. De studio is in 2001 opgericht door Willem Elzenga en is sinds januari 2024 ingeschreven bij de Kamer van Koophandel te Den Haag.

FireStarter heeft 15 projecten in onderzoek & ontwikkeling, waarvan ze aanneemt een aantal te kunnen verwezenlijken in de komende 5 tot 10 jaar.

Verder produceerde oprichter Willem Elzenga een ruime hoeveelheid aan filmproducties en daarbij ook games. Twee projecten die internationaal gedistribueerd werden kunt u hier online bekijken door op de link te klikken:

Roadkill (5')  On a small country road, a city woman is distracted by her phone and hits a duck. Her efforts to save him are not going as planned, and with each new attempt, she only makes the situation worse.
This short film won the Grand Prize of European Fantasy and the Short Film in Silver at the Amsterdam Fantastic Film Festival, 2003

A House of Orange (33')  A documentary with fictional shorts about the history of habitation of Paleis Het Loo. It contains portraits, dramatised episodes, historic filmfragments and images of palace and gardens. It was shot on 2K in 2005, is still distributed in 4 languages on DVD and won an award in Berlin Germany. It also had a daily theatrical screening in museum Het Loo for several years and a high end premiere with digital Barco projection and Dolby digital sound for a 100 people audience. Willem Elzenga directed, produced and co-wrote the movie.
